PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity registration apparatus capable of automatically learning commodities and capable of recognizing the same as learnt commodities.SOLUTION: The commodity registration apparatus learns commodities from commodity images taken by an imaging unit and stores the same in an HDD and registration of the commodities is made by key input. When a registration of a commodity which is not stored in the HDD is made by key input, the commodity is stored as a commodity data in the HDD; and thus, the commodity is registered as a learnt commodity. After that, the target commodity taken by the imaging unit is read from the commodity data stored in the HDD. With this, unregistered commodities can be learned by adding an image of the commodity on the basis of key input made by an operator. |
