PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor having excellent quietness.SOLUTION: A reactor comprises: a coil; a magnetic core for forming a closed magnetic circuit with the coil arranged; and a resin part formed around a combinational body of the coil and magnetic core. The magnetic core includes a powder core piece formed by a powder compressed molded body of magnetic powder, and the powder core piece has a coating layer formed from inorganic material on at least part of a surface opposite to the resin part. Preferably, the powder core piece has the coating layer on the whole area of the surface opposite to the resin part.
