PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform ink discharge control with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a line head 20Y which discharges an ink onto a recording sheet; an ink tank 40 for storing the ink supplied to the line head 20Y; a temperature sensor 22 which detects an ink temperature in the line head 20Y; a temperature sensor 42 which detects an ink temperature in the ink tank 40; and a heater 41 which adjusts the ink temperature in the ink tank 40. The printer further includes a control part which controls the heater 41 on the basis of the ink temperature in the line head 20Y and the ink temperature in the ink tank 40 so that a difference between the ink temperature in the line head 20Y and the ink temperature in the ink tank 40 becomes small.
