An elevator load supporting assembly (30) comprises an outer sleeve (34), wherein different parts of the outer sleeve contain different polymer compositions. In the published embodiment, at least a part of multiple tension elements (32) is wrapped by the first part (36) containing the first polymer composition. At least a part of the outer surface (40) of the outer sleeve (34) is made of the second part (38) of the second polymer. According to an example, a surface modification additive is added so that the component of at least a part of the outer sleeve (34) can be changed. According to another example, different parts of the outer sleeve (34) are constructed by different polymer compositions through the coextrusion process.
