<p>The method involves transmitting information related to a variation of electric power and/or electrical power level to a speed regulator (4). The flow rate of the fuel injected into a thermal engine (2) is adjusted based on the transmitted information. The information transmission is carried out by a voltage regulator (6) via a bus, where the information includes serial or analog information. The electric power in an output part of an alternator (3) is determined using a current sensor for measuring the current traversing through a main armature winding of the alternator.
