<p>A lifter device is disposed in the rear portion of a vehicle van capable of moving a wheelchair on which a passenger is sitting from the ground to the rear portion of a vehicle cabin of the vehicle. The lifter device includes a platform adapted to receive the wheelchair in a desired position thereon and to secure the same thereto, a pair of oppositely disposed upright arm assemblies, a pair of oppositely disposed lifter assemblies, a pair of oppositely disposed brackets adapted to receive the pair of lifter assemblies, a baseplate securely mounted on a floor of the rear portion of the vehicle cabin where the brackets are oppositely disposed at the ends thereof, and a central control system for operating the device.</p> |
