<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for controlling a message relay, which can improve the efficiency of a heterogeneous system by using a drop probability and whether a message requesting data is a surplus request message when the heterogeneous system requests data from an each local controller located in a plant or a building. According to the present invention, the apparatus for controlling a message relay comprises: a first communications unit which receives a first request message in which a first system requests information to a local controller from the first system; a second communications unit which receives a second request message in which a second system requests information to the local controller from the second system; a third communications unit which transmits the first request message or the second request message to the local controller; and a transmission control unit which determines whether the received first request message is a surplus request message depending on a setting, transmits the received first request message to the local control device through the third communications unit when the received first request message is not the surplus request message, and transmits the received second request message to the local controller through the third communications unit when the received first request message is the surplus request message.</p> |
