The present invention relates to a burst mode light receiver and a memory system including the same. A burst mode light receiver which receives a burst mode signal from the host according to the present invention comprises a preamplifier to convert the burst mode signal into a voltage signal; a reference controller to discriminate the data reference voltage of the voltage signal in response to a mode signal which indicates a training region in which the burst mode signal provided from the host is changed into a current balance and to output the discriminated data reference voltages; and a main amplifier to restore the voltage signal to a data signal based on the data reference voltage. The burst mode light receiver and a memory system including the same according to the present invention may stably generate data reference voltages in a low-voltage environment using a preamble signal.
