<p>The present invention relates to novel acid addition salts of dabigatran etexilate, process for the preparation and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same. Further, the invention relates to uses of said compositions for post operative prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis and the prevention of strokes.</p>
