PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutoff element capable of supplying sufficient power for fusing a fusible conductor to a heating element even when incorporated in a weak current path.SOLUTION: A shutoff element includes: an insulating substrate 10; first and second electrodes 11, 12 constituting a first circuit 2; third to fifth electrodes 13-15 constituting a second circuit 3; a first fusible conductor 17 mounted between the first and second electrodes 11, 12; a heating element 18 connected between the third and fourth electrodes 13, 14; and a second fusible conductor 19 mounted between the fourth and fifth electrodes 14, 15. The second fusible conductor 19 is fused by the heat of the heating element 18 after the first fusible conductor 17 has been fused. |
