PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a control device with a device wearable on a portion of a body.SOLUTION: A control method includes detecting relative movement between a wearable device (ring 404, watch 406) and a portion of a body, and generating an indication of the relative movement for use in controlling a control device (media player 410). A first context the movement is sensed in is defined by the operational state the wearable device is in, an application context of the wearable device, or a set of previously configured applicable contexts by the movement of another wearable item, and is used by the wearable device or the control device to interpret data sensed by or received from multiple sensors embedded in one or multiple wearable devices and to determine whether any step of a process to perform gesture detection needs to be initiated. |
