ROPE-LIKE BODY GUIDING DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR

A rope-like body is hung under only its own weight between a car-side rope-like body connection part of a car and a balance weight-side rope-like body connection part of a balance weight. A rope-like body guiding device for an elevator comprises a pair of horizontal spacing correction guide rollers which individually guide respective sections on the car side and the balance weight side of a rope-like body with respect to the lower end of a curved section of the rope-like body, and a roller position securing unit which secures the respective positions of the pair of horizontal spacing correction guide rollers. When the horizontal distance between the car-side rope-like body connection part and the balance weight-side rope-like body connection part is defined as a set reference distance (D1), and the distance between respective sections on the car side and the balance weight side of the rope-like body at a position higher than the lower end of the curved section by one-half of the set reference distance (D1) is defined as an object distance (D2), the pair of horizontal spacing correction guide rollers push the rope-like body in a state in which the value of the object distance (D2) is different from the value of the set reference distance (D1) in a direction in which the difference between the values of the object distance (D2) and the set reference distance (D1) becomes smaller to thereby correct the hanging shape of the rope-like body.
