PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover tungsten compounds from a treated material containing tungsten by a simple treatment process using microorganisms while reducing an environmental load.SOLUTION: A method for recovering tungsten compounds includes: a step of eluting metal components of a treated material containing tungsten into an alkaline solution containing a hydroxy salt to obtain a tungsten compound solution in which tungsten compound ions are dissolved; an adsorption step of feeding microorganisms into the tungsten compound solution, adding hydrochloric acid thereto to adjust the solution to acidic, and making the microorganisms adsorb the tungsten compound ions; and a recovery step of recovering the microorganisms having adsorbed the tungsten compound ions. The content of the hydroxy salt in the tungsten compound solution before the addition of the hydrochloric acid is in a stoichiometric ratio of 4 times or more the amount required for eluting the tungsten compound ions of the treated material.
