PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sampling apparatus that can make possible long-period sampling for a few days without requiring a large number of bubbling tanks and moreover a significant raise of sensitivity in detecting radioactive substances.SOLUTION: High-temperature exhaust gas from a smoke duct or the like of an incineration plant is led to bubbling tanks 1 and 2, each storing sample water in its lower half, to collect radioactive substances in the exhaust gas. When dew condensation of water content of the exhaust gas causes the water levels in the bubbling tanks 1 and 2 to rise and an optical sensor S1 or S3 to detect the sample water, the increments of the sample water in the sampling tanks 1 and 2 are delivered to a concentration tank 3. When the sample water in the concentration tank 3 increases and an optical sensor S5 in the concentration tank 3 detects the sample water, the sample water is evaporated and concentrated by heating the concentration tank 3. When a prescribed period of time has passed since the start of collecting radioactive substances in the exhaust gas, the concentrated liquid in the concentration tank 3 is cooled in a cooler 4 and then delivered to a radiation measuring apparatus. |
