PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecule comprising a variant Fc region, particularly a polypeptide, more particularly, an immunoglobulin (e.g., antibody) where the variant Fc region has at least one amino acid modification in the wild type Fc region, and the molecule binds FcγRIIIA and/or FcγRIIA with a higher affinity than a counterpart molecule containing the wild type Fc region.SOLUTION: The molecule of the invention is especially useful to prevent, treat or improve one or more conditions related to diseases, disorders or infection. The molecule is particularly useful for treating or preventing diseases or disorders such as cancer and infectious diseases to which increased efficacy of the effector cellular function mediated by FcγR (e.g., ADCC) is desired, as well as for enhancing the therapeutic effect of the therapeutic antibody of which effect is mediated by ADCC. |
