PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for radioactive material contaminated water that is efficient and low-cost.SOLUTION: A treatment method for radioactive material contaminated water comprises a freeze concentration step which includes: freezing ice in which the concentration of a radioactive material is reduced by interface advancing freeze concentration treatment applied to contaminated water containing the radioactive material; and concentrating the radioactive material in remaining contaminated water. Preferably, the treatment method includes, as a pre-step of the freeze concentration step, a nitrogen substitution step for reducing a dissolved oxygen amount in the contaminated water and for dissolving nitrogen gas. This treatment method can preferably be applied to radioactive cesium as the radioactive material. |
