1: A terminal device for receiving data from a base station in a wireless telecommunications system, wherein the terminal device is configured to receive data which is specific to the terminal device from the base station in a non-synchronous manner by searching a radio frame transmitted by the base station for a predefined signature sequence transmitted by the base station in association with the data which is specific to the terminal device, and extracting the data which is specific to the terminal device from the radio frame transmitted by base station based on an identification of the a predefined signature sequence.
