<p>Provided herein is a new scoring method for assessment of mesothelin (MSLN) staining, for example in an immunohistochemistry (IHC) assay, to effectively align with the total expression of MSLN as determined by H score. Such a method is useful for example to reduce inappropriate selection of patients to receive one or more MSLN- targeted therapies based on MSLN IHC staining.</p>
