The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition, a veterinary composition, and an antiprotozoal additive containing dacomitinib or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the same for preventing or treating toxoplasma gondii infection. Another purpose of the present invention is providing a method for treating toxoplasma gondii infection including the steps of administering an active amount of a composition containing dacomitnib or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the same.
