The apparatus (10) has a collapsed configuration in which the apparatus is substantially flat and an expanded configuration when the inflatable bladder (20) is inflated, the apparatus configured to buoyantly support a body weight of a user at least partially disposed on the panel when 10 the apparatus is in its expanded configuration and disposed in water, the central portion (14) of the panel (11) being formed with a mesh material such that water flows through the central portion of the panel when the user is at least partially disposed on the apparatus (10) and the apparatus is disposed in water.
