Provided is an updating method which updates a control program for controlling a power storage cell system, and is capable of suppressing faults caused by forcibly stopping the charging or discharging being executed by the power storage cell system. To this end, a power storage cell system (10) containing a power storage cell unit (11) for charging/discharging power determines whether or not the power storage cell unit (11) is in a state of discharge, and on the basis of this determination, determines the timing for execution of an updating program which updates the control program for controlling the power storage cell system (10). |
