Provided is an actuator the size of which can be made smaller in the axial direction as well as the radial direction of a motor. The actuator causes a target member to rotate and has the following: a motor having an output shaft; a motor housing that accommodates the motor; an outer ring; and a cross-roller bearing that has an inner ring which is assembled so as to be rotatable with respect to the outer ring, and that rotatably supports the target member. The outer ring is attached to the motor housing. The inner ring is sandwiched and held by the following: a support body that rotates in conjunction with the rotation of the output shaft; and the target member that is fixed to the support body. |
