An apparatus for cooling a reactor according to the present invention includes: a reactor which has a fuel rod and a control rod of controlling the fuel rod, is filled with pressurized water, and has a pressurizer of pressurizing the pressurized water; a cooling part of cooling the reactor; and a steam generator which receives heat from the cooling part and generates steam. The cooling part includes an heat absorption part which is located in the bottom of the reactor and cools the pressurized water; a liquid phase transfer line which supplies cooling fluid to the heat absorption part; a steam phase transfer line which discharges heated steam to the heat absorption part; and a heat radiation part which receives stream heated in the heat absorption part through the steam phase transfer line and is cooled.
