The present invention relates to a hinge system for a foldable container, and comprises: rotary cams (610) placed on both sides thereof; sliding cams (620) placed inside the rotary cams (610) respectively; and springs (630) placed inside the sliding cams respectively. The rotary cam (610) is formed in a circumferential direction by protruding on one side in a longitudinal direction, and has a first cam unit (615) which includes a first groove unit (616), a first protrusion unit (618), and a first slope unit to connect the first groove unit (616) and the first protrusion unit (618). The sliding cam (620) is formed in a circumferential direction by protruding toward the rotary cam, and has a second groove unit (626) and a second protrusion unit (628); and a second slope unit (627) to connect the second groove unit and the second protrusion unit. The sliding cam rotates relative to the rotary cam, and the spring is compressed by the relative rotation. Therefore, the hinge system for folding a side wall of a container can facilitate folding motions by applying cams and springs using the elasticity of the springs, and can solve safety problems due to an abrupt folding motion during a folding motion process by proceeding the side wall folding process associated with spring compression in stages.
