PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure detector that can notify a driver of decrease in tire air pressure much earlier after switching on of an IG and suppress increase in dark currents during stopping of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A receiver is configured to allow frame reception every intermittent period T3 even during switching-off of an IG, and a transmitter is configured to perform frame transmission continuously at short frame transmission intervals during a high-frequency transmission period T4 longer than the intermittent period T3 when occurrence of decrease in tire air pressure is detected. This allows the receiver to surely perform the frame reception even if the occurrence of decrease in tire air pressure is detected in the transmitter during switching-off of an IG, and can warn a driver much earlier that decrease in tire air pressure occurs, when switching on the IG. |
