PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method using a specific hydrolysis-stable organic metal compound as a catalyst, for polyurethane manufacture.SOLUTION: A catalyst comprises a metal-organic compound which is a complex of a metal selected from Ti, Zr, Hf, Al, Fe, Bi or Sn and a multidentate organic ligand represented by a formula II and including (a) anionic donor sites of X1 places and (b) neutral donor sites of y places capable of forming a co-ordinate bond with the metal and capable of forming bonds of the anionic and neutral sites with the same metal atoms. The formula II is M(HO(OC)w(CR1R2)z) a(O(OC)w(CR1R2)z)bY-(CR3R4)x-Y((CR1R2)z(CO)wO)c((CR1R2)z(CO)wOH)d, where: M is the metal atom; Y is selected from P and N; each R1, R2, R3 and R4 is a specified group; and a, b, c, and d are specified numbers.). |
