<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact device that easily elongates an arc generated at contact opening, and an electromagnetic contactor using the same.SOLUTION: A contact device 100 comprises a movable contact 130 that has been arranged in a detachable manner with respect to a pair of stationary contacts 106a, 106b. The pair of stationary contacts 106a, 106b are formed in a C shape with an upper plate part 116, a contact base part 118 arranged below in parallel with the upper plate part with a prescribed interval, and a coupling plate 117 which connects between the upper plate part 116 and the contact base part 118, by having its inner sides facing each other opened. The movable contact 130 is arranged between the upper plate part 116 and the contact base part 118 of the pair of the stationary contacts 106a, 106b in a detachable manner with respect to the contact base part 118, and has a contact particle 119 at a contact part of the contact base part 118 facing the movable contact 130, without generating a step part which disturbs the movement of an arc.</p> |
