Feeding power per unit driving time of the feeding member is set at a smaller value in the first region than in the second region.

A developing device comprising: a developer carrying member for carrying a developer comprising a non-magnetic toner and a magnetic carrier to develop a latent image; a first chamber, provided at a position where said first chamber opposes said developer carrying member, in which the developer is fed to said developer carrying member; a second chamber, provided at a position where said second chamber opposes said developer carrying member, in which the developer is collected from said developer carrying member; a partition wall for partitioning said first chamber and said second chamber; a communicating portion, provided at each of end portions of said partition wall, for forming a circulation path by said first chamber and said second chamber; and a feeding member, provided rotatably in said first chamber, for feeding the developer in said first chamber, wherein in the circulation path, said feeding member includes a first region corresponding to a developer coating region of said developer carrying member and a second region, provided downstream of the first region with respect to a feeding direction of said feeding member, corresponding to a region outside the developer coating region of said developer carrying member, and wherein feeding power per unit driving time of said feeding member is set at a smaller value in the first region than in the second region.
