According to an embodiment of the present invention, an overcurrent protection apparatus is provided with a plurality of transistors, a detection unit, and a control unit. The transistors are connected in parallel to each other between a power supply and a load unit. The detection unit detects a current quantity of a current flowing from the power supply to the load unit. The control unit controls the transistors such that the current quantity detected by means of the detection unit is equal to or less than a predetermined tolerable current quantity that can be flowed to one of the transistors.
