The present invention relates to a muffler of an air conditioning system for a vehicle to minimize the stagnation of compressor lubricating oil and to efficiently reduce the vibration and noise of a compressor without a decrease in the flow characteristics of a refrigerant. To achieve this, the muffler of an air conditioning system for a vehicle to be installed on a refrigerant pipe to reduce the noise and vibration of the compressor, transmitted to the indoor space of a vehicle through the refrigerant pipe comprises: a muffler main body tube which is installed on the refrigerant pipe to allow a refrigerant gas flowing through the refrigerant pipe to pass through and which has one or more resonant holes through the outer circumference; and an outer resonant tube installed at a distance from the outer circumference of the muffler main body tube to form a resonant chamber in a space between the outer resonant tube and the muffler main body tube to absorb the vibration and noise of the refrigerant gas inside the muffler main body tube, discharged from the resonant holes. At least one of the resonant holes is formed on a part of the muffler main body tube, corresponding to the lowermost part of the resonant chamber in the direction of gravity.
