PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which performs calibration in an appropriate timing, an image forming method and a program.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: receiving means for receiving an instruction of calibration issued on the basis of a user operation; control means for executing the calibration; setting means for setting conditions for suppressing the calibration on the basis of a user operation; and calibration suppressing means for suppressing execution of the calibration on the basis of an instruction of calibration received by the receiving means if a calibration suppressing condition set by the setting means is satisfied.
