<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin storage device which causes no clog of an abnormal coin in the device.SOLUTION: The coin storage device comprises: a reception part; an identification part; a storage part; a transport part; a rejection part; a rejection destination; and a rejection transport part. The rejection part falls an abnormal coin which is determined as an abnormal coin by the identification part from the transport part for removing the abnormal coin. The rejection destination is a destination for discharging or storing the abnormal coin. The rejection transport part has: an endless belt; a drive part for rotationally driving the endless belt; and a cover which is an enclosure widening toward the end, is disposed between the rejection part and the endless belt, and at a top edge of the enclosure, surrounds a position where the rejection part falls the abnormal coin, and the lower edge of which is disposed on the endless belt, and in which a slit for communicating inside and outside of the enclosure and discharging the abnormal coin is disposed on a part of the rejection transport direction downstream side of the lower edge. The abnormal coin fallen by the rejection part is mounted on the endless belt, and is transported to the rejection destination.</p> |
