PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device arranged by a combination of an organic EL element and a resonance structure so as to prevent the worsening of color reproducibility without using a color filter.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device E1 comprises: a reflection layer 12; an array cavity layer 30; a light-emitting layer 31; and a semipermeable reflection layer 20. The light-emitting device E1 has a resonance structure in which optical path lengths between the reflection layer 12 and the semipermeable reflection layer 20 are adjusted by light emission region; the light-emitting layer 31 includes a light-emitting layer 19. The light-emitting layer 19 performs internal light emissions in a first wavelength region, and a second wavelength region; the second wavelength region is shorter in wavelength than the first wavelength region. As to the first wavelength region, a light emission peak wavelengthλ, a resonance peak wavelengthλ, and an output wavelengthλare roughly in good agreement. With the second wavelength region, a light emission peak wavelengthλ, a resonance peak wavelengthλ, and an output wavelengthλsatisfy the following relation:λ>λ>λ. The array cavity layer 30 and the light-emitting layer 31 are adjusted in thickness so that the light emission intensity of the output wavelengthλexpressed by the product of the light emission intensity of the light emission peak wavelengthλand the light emission intensity of the resonance peak wavelengthλis 15% or less of the light emission intensity of the output wavelengthλ.
