PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona polarization processing device that is able to prevent transit response during corona discharge generation, and avoid the influence of charge accumulation, thereby reducing occurrences of crack in the process of polarization by corona discharge, thus making it possible to satisfactorily hold ink discharge characteristics, and obtain stable ink discharge characteristics.SOLUTION: A corona polarization processing device includes: an electrode 41 that generates corona discharge; a sample stage on which a polarization target material is set; and a grid electrode 42 that makes an electric field applied to the polarization target material by corona discharge uniform. The corona polarization processing device subjects the polarization target material, set on the sample stage 44, to a polarization process. The corona polarization processing device comprises intercepting means that is able to intercept an electric field between the grid electrode 42 and the sample stage 44. The intercepting means is controlled so as to alter the timing of intercepting.
