PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method with which an image can be recorded while preventing curl and cockle without damaging feeling of a recording medium such as printing paper.SOLUTION: An image recording method has: an ink imparting step of discharging a color material-containing water-based ink by an inkjet method and impart the ink to the recording medium; a first liquid composition imparting step of imparting a first liquid composition containing a water soluble resin to the recording medium; and a second liquid composition imparting step of imparting a second liquid composition containing a reaction agent reacting with the color material and the water soluble resin to the recording medium. The first liquid composition imparting step and the second liquid composition imparting step are performed prior to the ink imparting step, and further, the image recording method has a water removing step of removing water from an image formed on the recording medium subsequent to the ink imparting step. |
