PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt ply inspection device which allows overall quality control of a belt ply including positional deviation of a tire axial direction to a width of a strip ply or a core.SOLUTION: A belt ply inspection device 1 comprises: a sensor 2 which is provided outside a core 100, and can measure a distance to an annular belt ply 11; and a signal processing part 3 in which an output signal of the sensor 2 is input. The sensor 2 includes: a first sensor 21 which has a measurement area 21a crossing a first side edge 12a of each strip ply 12 and extending in a tire axial direction; and a second sensor 22 which has a measurement area 22a crossing a second side edge 12b of each strip ply 12 and extending in the tire axial direction. The signal processing part 3 detects positions of the first side edge 12a and the second side edge 12b of the strip ply 12 on the basis of output signals of the first sensor 21 and the second sensor 22.
