The purpose of the invention is to obtain a configuration of a touch pen in which the presence or absence of touching can be appropriately determined. The touch pen (1) is provided with: a tip part (11) formed by a conductor; a shaft part (15) having a conductor in at least a part thereof; a connecting part (14) formed by an insulator and adapted to connect the tip part (11) and the shaft part (15) to each other; and a switch (12). The switch (12) establishes an electrical connection between the tip part (11) and the conductor portion of the shaft part (15) when the pressure applied to the tip part (11) is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, and disconnects the electrical connection between the tip part (11) and the conductor portion of the shaft part (15) when the pressure applied to the tip part (11) is less than the predetermined value.
