The invention relates to a plug connector housing for protecting a plug connector, said housing comprising at least one pre-equipped cable outlet for connecting a threaded cable connection and at least one closure for closing the at least one cable outlet. The at least one cable outlet has a thread which forms a screw channel and the plug connector housing has a predetermined breaking point in the transition region to the closure. The invention also relates to a method for opening a cable outlet of a plug connector housing.
