PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white ink composition having high dispersion stability of a white coloring material, from which a bright white image with a high coverage of a printed image can be obtained.SOLUTION: An ink for inkjet recording comprising water, a water-soluble solvent and a colorant is provided, which contains hollow resin particles and an organic white pigment as the colorant. A pigment having a chemical structure represented by general formula (I) below is preferably used for the organic white pigment. In the formula, R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an alicyclic group; Rto Rare the same or different from one another, representing a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and Rand R, or Rand Rmay form a heterocyclic group together with a nitrogen atom; and X represents an alkylene group having 2 to 3 carbon atoms. |
