PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of performing a setting/releasing operation of a function by using a slide touch operation unit even without using an operation key.SOLUTION: A washing machine 1 includes: an operation panel 10 provided at a washing machine body and performing various types of setting; a control unit 20 for controlling the operation panel 10; and a slide touch operation unit 40 provided at the operation panel 10 and operating content of setting by fingers touching. The slide touch operation unit 40 has a plurality of detection electrodes SP1-SP10 which are the plurality of capacitance type detection electrodes SP1-SP10 arranged in an annular shape for detecting the touch of fingers and notifying the detection to the control unit 20. The control unit 20 enables setting/releasing of the function corresponding to a specific position based on a detection signal from the plurality of detection electrodes SP1-SP10 in the plurality of positions where the fingers have touched.
