<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a recording device suitable for a recording destination of the video of a monitoring camera device, without using a management device for centrally controlling a system, in a monitoring camera system composed of a plurality of monitoring cameras and a plurality of recording devices.SOLUTION: This monitoring camera device includes an imaging part for generating a picture signal by photoelectrically converting a light-receiving signal, a video processing part for generating video data obtained by compressing and coding an acquired imaging signal, a communication processing part for transmitting and receiving data through a network, and a control part. The control part holds camera management information containing information regarding the operational condition of own apparatus and a recording device used as the recording destination of the video data, recording device managing information containing information regarding the recording device connected to the network, and recorded content managing information containing information regarding the recorded content of the video data of own apparatus, performs transmission control of the recording device managing information and the recorded content managing information in a prescribed timing, and switches the recording device used as the recording destination of the video data on the basis of the recording device managing information.</p> |
