This information processing system is provided with a server device and one or more client devices. The server device is provided with a storage unit, a reception unit and a storage control unit. The storage unit associates and stores data, first identification information that identifies the location to store the data, and the version of the data. From the client device, the reception unit receives a write request that includes write data that indicates the data to be written to the storage unit, second identification information that identifies the location to store the write data, and a write version that indicates the version of the write data. If the version of the data associated with first identification information that matches the second identification information is less than the write version, then the storage control unit overwrites the data and the version associated with the first identification information with the write data and write version. The client device is provided with a transmission unit for transmitting write requests to the server device. |
