PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing multiplication of bacteria having adhered to food (especially, meat) needing storage by refrigeration, a method for extending an expiration date of the food needing the storage by the refrigeration by the same, and a device capable of being suitably used for the methods.SOLUTION: A storage method for meet stored in a refrigerator or a freezer after being subdivided from a block object, a storage method for the meet in which the meet is irradiated with positive ions and negative ions before storing the meet in the refrigerator or the freezer, a method for extending an expiration date of food needing the storage by refrigeration, a method for suppressing multiplication of bacterial generated on the surface of the food needing the storage by the refrigeration, and an ion irradiation device capable of being suitably used for the methods are provided. |
