<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of preventing the unexpected releasing of the position lock of a steering member.SOLUTION: A steering device 1 includes: a hollow upper jacket 16 for storing a steering shaft 3; a first engaging member 27; a rotation shaft 29 extending in a direction intersecting an axial direction X of the steering shaft 3; and a second engaging member 30 which is a different component from the rotation shaft 29. The first engaging member 27 has an engaging hole 34, and is attached to the upper jacket 16. The second engaging member 30 has an engaging protrusion 43 capable of engaging with the engaging hole 34. The second engaging member 30 can move between a lock position at which the engaging protrusion 43 engages with the engaging hole 34 and a release position at which the engaging protrusion 43 comes off from the engaging hole 34, according to rotations of the rotation shaft 29. A vertical direction Z of the second engaging member 30 between the lock position and a release position and a rotating direction S of the rotation shaft 29 are different from each other.</p> |
