PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, since a support member has a thin plate shape and is easily deformed, there is a possibility that the support member is plastically deformed when external force is unintentionally applied to the support member during assembling, in an ultrasonic motor.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic motor has a driven body having a contact surface, and a vibrator having at least one contact part contacting the contact surface. The ultrasonic motor further includes a spring member for giving pressing force with which at least the one contact part presses the driven body, a support member for holding the vibrator, and a holding member for holding the vibrator via the support member and holding the spring member. In the support member, rigidity in a direction in which the pressing force is applied is weaker than rigidity in a direction of the relative movement of the driven body. The ultrasonic motor includes deformation prevention means which prevents the support member from being deformed by a predetermined amount or more. |
