1. A method for discovering a machine to machine (M2M) service, comprising:
receiving, by a first device, a service query message sent by an M2M service requester, wherein the service query message carries a query criterion; querying, by the first device and according to the query criterion, description information of a locally stored M2M service to obtain description information of an M2M service that matches the query criterion; and returning, by the first device, at least one of description information of the queried M2M service and description information of the second device that supports the queried M2M service to the M2M service requester such that the M2M service requester acquires service data of the queried M2M service from the second device or uses the queried M2M service. |
