PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure consisting of inorganic fibers having an average fiber diameter of 3 μm or less and has a cylindrical structure part having an inner diameter of 10 mm or less, and to provide a method thereof.SOLUTION: The structure has a cylindrical structure part formed by bonding inorganic fibers having an average fiber diameter of 3 μm or less with an inorganic adhesive. The cylindrical structure part has an inner diameter of 10 mm or less. The cylindrical structure may be consisting of only the cylindrical structure part. The structure can be produced by: irradiating inorganic fibers that are spun by an electrostatic spinning method with ion of opposite polarity, accumulating the irradiated inorganic fibers, and sintering the accumulated inorganic fibers to form an inorganic fiber sheet; then applying an organic adhesive to the inorganic fiber sheet; then winding the inorganic fiber sheet around a shaft; and then bonding the inorganic fiber sheets with an inorganic adhesive. |
