<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine power unit which suppresses an installation cost and increases a load cargo amount by utilizing armature coils of a synchronous generator as a filter when a ship receives power from a land-side power system.SOLUTION: In a marine power unit that makes a power conversion system 5 convert output power of a synchronous generator 1 connected directly to a rotary shaft of a main engine 2 into a constant frequency, during navigation, a circuit breaker 19 is opened to keep neutral point terminals of armature coils in star connection by a neutral point selector switch 21, and output terminals Tu - Tw of the armature coils are connected to the power conversion system 5 by a land/inboard selector switch 20 to supply the output power of the synchronous generator 1 to an inboard power supply bus via the power conversion system 5. Alongside a quay, the circuit breaker 19 is closed, and further the land/inboard selector switch 20 and the neutral point selector switch 21 are switched to series-connect the armature coil of each phase of the synchronous generator to each phase circuit between a land-side power system 17 and the power conversion system 5.</p> |
