The object of the invention is an elevator car (1) intended for transporting people and freight, in an elevator wherein the elevator car (1) is supported resting on suspension members (3) and arranged movably in an elevator hoistway when moved by a hoisting machine (6). At least the floor (10) and roof (14) of the elevator car (1) are composed of dimensionally precise modular elements (10a- 10c, 14a-14c) fabricated by casting, extruding and/or pressing into their shapes and dimensions. |
