PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll device capable of reducing the cost of the device and reducing air consumption.SOLUTION: A roll device 1 includes: a hollow roll body 2; a shaft body 4 inserted into the hollow part of the roll body 2 through a gap 3; a pair of static pressure gas bearings 7, 8 arranged respectively at both end parts 5, 6 of the roll body 2 so as to support the roll body 2 with static pressure gas with regard to a radial direction, and interposed respectively between the roll body 2 and the shaft body 4; and a magnetic bearing 9 supporting the roll body 2 with magnetic force with regard to a thrust direction. |
